It’s been two years since people are eagerly waiting to know the answer of the biggest question raised by Indian cinema, Why Katappa Killed Bahubali?
There have been a lot of theories, concept and stories are hurling around this question and everybody tried to guess why Katappa, on whom Bahubali trusted the most; backstabs him?
Sometimes, when you aren’t even trying to find the answer; it just comes to you when you least expect it. So, one of our trusted sources; who works with the post-production of Bahubali 2, disclosed about the most-anticipated mystery.
So, as we all know that Bijjaldeva (Nasser); the ‘Chacha’ of Bahubali who plays the other negative character besides Bhallala Deva (Rana Dagubatti) and has been wanting to see his son sitting on the throne and ruling the kingdom of Maheshmati, does the trick.
He understands the fact that only a trusted one can kill Bahubali; so that his son could be the King. The rivalry between Bahubali and Bijalla increases when Bahubali and Devsena fall in love and Bhallala also develops feeling for her. He tries to woo Devasena but fails. So, the rage inside him rises all the more due to the love between them, which was since the time of the war in 1st part and when Shivgami Devi crowns Bahubali as the king of Maheshmati.
He wants Bahubali to die as soon as possible so that he can marry Devasena and also rule the kingdom. That’s where the ‘Antaryuddha’ (internal war) takes place between the two brothers. And now, Bhallala deva steps in and manipulates Katappa saying that if he doesn’t kill Bahubali, Bhallala will kill everyone in his family, including Shivgami Devi, his son (Shiva) and Katappa as well.
Also, he says that Bahubali’s new-acquired power and fame will go to his head and he will be a king full of arrogance, which we can obviously figure out from his behavior in the trailer, that he gets a bit full of himself. So, in order to save the kingdom and Bahubali’s new-born child; Katappa backstabs Bahubali. *The End*
iKarmik says, though we figured out the Devasena part of the story; that a love-triangle is definitely going be there but, Bijjala deva manipulating Katappa was bit of a shocker. Anyway, we know that the hype of Bahubali 2 is not because of its story but because of the grand scale sets, eye-pleasing visuals and stunning frames. Don’t forget, SS Rajamouli has made 4 climaxes fearing this sort of a leak. So even after knowing the ultimate mystery of this story, we know you’re still going to watch this film on 28th April, just like us!
